Collect Shells at Seychelles

With the summer heat draining us out, everyone, including me, is yearning for holidays. And beach resorts are one of most popular destinations during summer. As I was  surfing the net, Seychelles caught my fancy and I wanted to share its breathtaking natural and man-made beauty with you! The azure blue sea and the varied marine life will surely make your holidays memorable.

Seychelles Island

The Seychelles Archipelago(meaning a group of Islands), is made up of 115 islands-- which are either Coralline or Granitic, classified as Inner or Outer Islands. Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean, off the southeastern coast of Africa in the northeast of the Republic of Madagascar. The islands are spread over an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of 1,374,000km2.

The granitic islands of Seychelles are considered to be the oldest and hardest granite in the world and also these are the only mid oceanic granitic islands in the world.
All the granitic islands of Seychelles are covered in lush green tropical vegetation. Its highest peak is located on Mahe.
